Another popular casino game is poker. The origin of the game itself and even its name is still questionable. According to one version, the name comes from the German word “pochen” (“knocking”). The first mention of the game similar to Poker refers to the XVI century.? Poker as a card game is 500 years old. It appeared in Europe: Spain, France and Italy. Poker rules then were somewhat different. Poker rules have changed over time.

The purpose of this game is to win the bet – to get a better poker hand using the 5 cards, or forcing all competitors to cease to engage in the game. Rules may vary depending on the variety of poker. In poker different packs (32, 36 or 54 cards) are used, but most often a standard pack of 52 sheets is used with equivalent suits. There can be from 2 to 10 participants. The values of cards are arranged in descending order from the ace and so on (King, Queen, Jack, 10, … 2). Ace can be also a junior card. The game is made of several rounds. Every round begins with a distribution of new cards. After it each player has the opportunity to make a bet or leave the game. The winner is the one whose mixed of five cards is the strongest, or someone who can push out other players with stakes or bluff-bets and will remain one until the card reveal.
